Since the community pool isn’t functioning properly I decided I would resort to swimming each morning at La Madera beach. This worked fine on Monday, but today at 8 am the surf was pounding like I’ve never seen there. Definitely not swimming there this morning.
At the Senor’s suggestion we decided to go to Las Gatas for the afternoon as the reef keeps the water calmer there. We spent a pleasant afternoon watching the surfers ride the waves and us just bobbing around in small waves. Another first for me, surfers at Las Gattas.
I knew they surfed there during other times of the year when the surf is normally high, but not in January. We had a great red snapper for lunch and headed back to the apartment for stopping for frozen yogurt topped with caramel.Mexican yogurt is different but very good.
