PLAYOFF SUNDAY

On Playoff Sunday, every bar that has a TV is playing the game, it is standing room only for late comers with the fans rooting for their personal favorites. The Senor’s favorite place to watch the games is the Captain’s Daughter.  He enjoys his cronies there, bets a little on the games. Not being a football fan I headed out to the beach restaurants that do not play the game and are pretty empty. I usually bring my kindle to read, but I’m trying something new

today, along with my kindle I brought my little net book. I can buy some food and drink and I can sit here the rest of the afternoon where I’m cooled by the ocean breeze and watch the world pass by, nibbling on my seafood soup doing my blog. Now I’m not sure that life gets much better than this. I listen to the street musicians, some good, some not so good and some are just short of terrible,  the push cart vendors pass by with ice cream, fruit juices ,

cacahuetes (peanuts) which I’ve actually learned to pronounce. In the late afternoon I head back to the apartment and pick up some cucumbers and tomatoes for a salad. After my siesta it is dark and I can hear the cheering from the bar below.

The game must still be on, and curiosity has me wanting to know how the Seahawks are doing. As the whole world knows, they won.  The Senor is happy, I meet him in our street visiting with all his football cronies rehashing the game. We set off for some ice cream cones. Great end to a lovely Mexican Sunday.  Signing off KO

I'm a traveler, not as frequently as I would like , but I plan on doing more. After working full time at Mount Rainier National Park during the summer of 22 I have decided to retire completely and forever. Prior to that I was semi retired as a Wedding Officiant I officiated at about 20 weddings a season, and with my small delivery service I handled the distribution of a local high-quality Home and Garden magazine . Prior to my "semi retirement" I was in corrections and before that I owned and operated a bail bond agency. I now plan to travel to new places and exciting places, getting ready to do that as a solo as the Senior is no longer with me, his choice, and I am OK with that. For hobbies I'm a reader and love my kindle. And I enjoy writing.
